Parents frequently have questions regarding the scheduling, duration and frequency of orthodontic appointments.  We generally schedule orthodontic appointments at 3-6 week intervals.  Appointment duration depends on the procedure(s) to be performed.  With the exception of appliance placement and removal visits, appointments usually range from 15 – 30 minutes.

Appointments at the start and finish of treatment are often lengthy.  These appointments will be scheduled in the morning to early afternoon between 7:30am – 2:00pm.  This allows us to devote the required amount of time to the patient.

While treatment is in progress, some appointments may be scheduled during school hours and others after school.  Understandably, many parents prefer that their children do not miss school.  With approximately 80% of our patients attending school, some appointments will occur during school hours.  We reserve after school appointment times for shorter appointments.  Rest assured we will make every effort to accommodate your appointment scheduling needs.

Emergency appointments such as broken brackets, bands or wires, will be seen in the morning hours and early afternoon.  Please call us, even if your scheduled appointment is the next day, so that we may schedule adequate time to correct the problem.

Please be certain to arrive for your appointment on time.  Our computer sign in will not allow you to sign in if you are more than 10 minutes late.
